Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just recently purchased a Dune Buggy on a 1960 VW chassis. I was wanting
to know what engine came in the 1960 VW. Also was there any issues,
mechanically that I should be concerned with.

In 1960 the engines were 1200 cc. Dune buggy builders typically used what ever engine they could find so who knows what you have. You could pull a head and measure the bore and stroke.
