odometer and trip meter not working in my 89 dynasty

The odometer and trip meter stopped working.  The speedometer still works.

Check # 12 fuse. If blown your problem is solved. If that doesn't do it it's probably the plastic gears running the odometer. The only way to check is by pulling the instrument panel and taking a look.

The odometer/speedometer module does not lend itself to repairs. I tried. If you get it out, after 17 screws, best bet is to replace the entire module. Looks like available at a couple distributors Go on-line looking.
