Hello, Nice car! I am not sure that any of the 440's came with an air grabber...I thought the factory-issued grabbers disappeared with the Hemis after 1971. Here is a link to some good Charger history: http://www.musclecarclub.com/musclecars/dodge-charger/dodge-charger-history.shtml I think the air grabbers may have been aftermarket additions, but am not positive. The air grabber was an option on the 72 rallye charger. I don't know how many were made but they definitely were available on the 340 and 440. 1972 was the last year for the N96 air grabber option.

I also have a 72 Rallye Charger, with a 440,it also has the air grabber hood with the window sticker showing it as an option.
Good morning People, As Antiques so are 40+ years old cars all these options you are talking about are questionable the build sheet would tell you the answers you are looking for no build sheet you are just guessing about it. The Build Sheet is the only answers to all your guessing. usually they are in the springs of your back seat setting part???? if not there you are just guessing weather your car had these items at build of the car or after parts attached to what ever. find the build sheet and you will know for sure, good luck guys

My neighbor has a fully documented 72 factory 440 4- speed trac-pack air grabber rallye charger, That ends the question over air grabber hood being available , IT WAS. Here's the one that always cracks me up, No six pack cars were built at the Los Angeles Plant !
