I was driving and truck I think ran out of gas. So I put gas it started for a few maybe 30 sec. And died. I put more gas, won't start. It Was running ok before this, help????

Is this a fuel pump problem or regulator?? Idk help

Electric fuel pumps use the gas as a coolant, if you run your tank low/empty allot, the pump runs hot...allot. This can destroy the pump. Also, the "running the tank empty" can cause schmutz that's been n the tank for awhile to be sucked up into the pump screen, thereby clogging it up. That being said, these damnable spring "boutique" blends of gas or maybe just bad gas could also be a problem for you.

Let your pick up sit for several hours, go back n try 'er out again. If still no joy, then push the accelerator all the way to the carpet...hold it there and try to start her up. This will set your engine computer to a default mixture setting...i.e.>>>>>now it knows you mean business<<<
