a/c stops when you step on the gas

They're made to stop at high RPMs it will burn the clutches up so I would start with pump and clutches... Hope this helps
Blend door actuators are vacuum operated so when the engine needs vacuum the blend doors shut

what would you suggest to keep the blend door from shutting when I step on the gas?, thanks
A vacuum leak at the actuator or the vacuum tank can cause problems when accelerating or going up hills.

That has to be what it is alright, I can hear the doors shutting when I accelerate, when I step on the brakes I believe the heater blend door opens up because I feel hot air coming through the vents, this is driving me crazy, hot air in the florida sun is not fun
