hi babbee girl, We would need to know the size of your engine in order to tell you the firing order. This website has a list of all the 1985 Fords produced and provides you with the firing order as well as a diagram. http://autorepair.about.com/library/firing_orders/bl-ford-firing-85.htm good luck!
ok since i dont know what size motor you have i will give you the ones from a 4 cyl to 8 cyl 4 cyl 1.9l/ 1-3-4-2 4 cyl 2.3l/ 1-3-4-2 6 cyl 3.0,3.2,3.8,4.0/ 1-4-2-5-3-6 8 cyl 4.6,5.0/ 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 i hope this helps you out any
This information is mostly correct HOWEVER, for the 5.0L V8 there are two firing orders: For the standard 5.0 (80s T-bird/80s Cougar/Mark VII/etc.) 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 5.0 HO (Mustang/Capri/90s T-bird/90s Cougar/Mark VII LSC/etc.) 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 If you try to run the HO order on a standard 5.0 you will have all sorts of trouble.
