did ford offer a f250 in '78 . found a truck and want the motor out of it ... buddy told me it had a 351 and also was wondering if it was a w or a c

To tell if it is a Windsor or a cleveland, have your buddy look at the location of the thermostat housing. If the upper radiator hose goes to the front of the intake it is a Windsor, if the upper radiator hose goes directly to the top of the block it is a Cleveland

i would just look at the size of the heads heh....but then again, i know fords.

i think so measure the block size buy one of thoughs ah....truck books...they show complete tar down of truck its like 30 bucks

The 351 in a 78 isn't a Windsor or a Cleveland , it is a 351M and the bellhousing is the same as a 400M or a 460.
