Will a new Turbo Diesel fit in my 1977 Monte Carlo?

WHY do this??? Buy a newer car. You're throwing good money after bad, in my opinion... What do I know....go ahead.. I'd rather put this kind of money on a car built from the ground up with a turbo diesel, just me.
Depends on your budget...and what you want.... There's a new turbo diesel engine on the Chevy Cruze for example. And a list of other diesels cars from these sources below...or used.. avoid VW... https://cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/best-diesel-cars
It's my understanding that all diesels are turbo diesel engines...and the Cruze is the price leader in this group... I just wouldn't spend thousands of dollars to purchase a replacement engine and install it in your Monte Carlo...the Monte Carlo is a very nice car and it's certainly in beautiful condition. You could sell it for a nice price or keep it as a Sunday driver..... Newer cars have a lot more safety features than a 70s car... Just facts.
You could install a diesel in your car if you have lots of money and want something unique. A Kubota diesel, or maybe a 4 cylinder Cummins could be retrofit with a lot of work. Most all modern diesels are turbo but some are naturally aspirated or supercharged.
