i have an 83 chevy impala. just replaced the alternator and battery, but the car will cut off while im sitting idle...what could be the cause of this

Sounds like you have a fuel delivery issue. Fuel Pump Fuel Filter Carburetor Float not adjusted correctly Curb idle speed not adjusted Sending Unit not working Sending Unit screen clogged Clogged Fuel Lines
