1994 2wd single cab 4l60e tranny not shifting and speedometer not working

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1994 single cab Chevy pickup
(1500) Manuel locks and windows and
transmission will not shift out of first only
manually to 2nd I thought it was the
clutches bad in transmission but I put a new
tranny in and still same problem so that tells
me its not the transmission its some
electronic on the truck I think I havent
started checking wires for power I will check
the wires that go to the transmission any
advice is helpful, god bless!

Tennisshoes thank you very much for taking the time to review and answer my question, I've actually fixed it this morning was a loose ignition fuse I believe , I had bought some fuses and replaced old ones(that where still good) and wiggled my 30 amp ignition fuse/ relay and speedometer started working instantly which allowed the transmission to start shifting properly so I think the 30 amp fuse was loose which I will try n bend the prong better to hold fuse thanks again

Ok yes that's for the column right ? Now do you know wat the other side plug is? Someone said a passing gear switch ?does that sound right ?
