I HAVE A 99 S/10,WHEN THE GAS TANK IS FULL STARTS RIGHT UP.AT 1/4 TANK ITS HARD TO START.CRANKS BUT IT TAKES ABOUT 10 TO 15 SECONDS HOLDING THE KEY ON TO START.

My 2000 S/10 did this after having the fuel pump replaced. I feel they bent the fuel line when reinstalling the fuel tank. I just remember to fill the tank between 1/4 & /1/2 full.
