I'm sorry, it is traumatizing when an old friend falls ill. Call a transmission shop and find out how much a new trans is. They won't want to tell you, they'll want to get you down there so they can take it apart. Then tell you. Don't fall for it. Get someone to give you figures on the phone. If you don't have the money, it's easier to finance another car with better rates than it would be the transmission.
thank you so much i have been calling around and yes like you said they wanted me to bring it in but also said from the start it would cost me 3200.00 and the cheapes rebuilt one i found was 1550.00 plus having somebody put it in for me im so sad but i will have to take your advice and again thank you for your time to reply
I understand why you like your crv. It's estimated that new sales will soon surpass their Accord. The Honda leads others in this segment and industry overall the small suv/crossover market is the fastest growing vehicle segment. It's hard to go wrong in this class though, I love my Terrain. If your crv has a gob of miles, unfortunately it will probably be more expensive to just get another one but for the long run maybe wiser. I'll follow your username here over time and see if your "vehicle" section changes. Good luck.
