What is the difference between a 68 and a 69 camaro

Hi kittykat, The '68 had more chrome accent pieces on the body than did the '69. In general, the '68 looks more "toned down" than the '69. The '69 has more of a muscle car look to it. That's my opinion. You can go online and search on Google Images for both vehicles and notice the differences. Hope this helps!
Easiest way to tell a '69 from a '68 or '67 if you are not a car buff persee........ look at the wheel wells. 68 and 69 are round.... 69 are squared off at the top.

if it's a true 68, it will have the hidden headlights. The 69's came out with the headlights showing in the grill. The 68 had the headlights that looked like part of the grill, but flipped out when they were turned on
One thing I always look at is the tail lights..a 68 has more square, plain tail lights, where the 69 is more rectangle, and even has a slant in them. 69's also have the "shark gills" just in front of the back tires. If you look at the pics of mine, you may not be able to see them, because I don't have the chrome on mine. Most of the time, there will be chrome accents on these. Those are the main things I look at when I see a Camaro go down the road...the more my husband gets done on his 68, the more I will take pictures and can actually document the differences! Would be a neat photo essay...*shrugs sholders* maybe???
Easiest way 67 and 68 had 2 square lights in the rear. 67 had a front landau Window 68 got a front fender directional light/landau window gone 69 had the 3 light rectangular rear lights
????? Nobody not seems know the details of these 3 different years of Camaro ... 1967 front quarter glass vent 1968 no front quarter glass vent ( one piece) Hidenlights are an option of RS or SS-RS only . 1969 are available on RS an RS-SS to . 1969 are built only one year . My God go to shool !!!
The 69 was styled completely different!!! Look for the crease down the side.
1967 cars have no side marker lights. All 1968 cars have federal mandatory side marker lights.
All you have to do is look in the rear view mirror of your Mopar and all three of them are always behind you !!
SlowPar jokes are funny! If you want no guess work on telling them apart AT A GLANCE. 67 was the only year to have a vent window. 68 had one piece door glass, and had a smooth rear quarter panel (no chrome trim). 69 same as the 68 ,but had had the chrome trim behind the door on the rear quarters. Each year car can easily be told apart by one of those three.

The 67 had a vent window , round fender wells, no side markers and round parking lights beside the headlights. 68 had no vent windows, round fender wells, side markers and oval parking light beside the head lights. 69 had square fender wells with creased lines down the fenders, chrome accents in front of rear wheels and parking round parking lights below the head lights.
