Not directly related to the Paseo, but I have seen 1990-1992 Camry cars with well over 250,000 miles and still running well.

Mines getting up there, better than 280,000 on it, and it's still kicking. It needs some work, but most of it's nominal or not engine related. There were 4 previous owners, and it has been wrecked once, but only structure damage, very little was replaced in the engine compartment. (Headlight, clutch reservoir, etc). Timing belt was replaced in I think 98. 16 years; 280,000 miles

well thats up to you,how do you maintaine it?do you use crappy parts,

MIne now has over 303,000 miles and is running smoothly. I blew out an exhaust valve at 253,000 miles and had to rebuild the upper half of the engine. Apart from the broken valve, all components, including bearing clearances, were well within specification. Prior to the valve failing, the enginer was using about one quart of oil every 1,000 miles. After replacing all 16 valve stem oil seals, it barely uses any oil at all. I don't doubt that this car could go past 400,000 miles if taken care of.
