Subaru over heating and the air is cold

I have a 99 Subaru and after I had a garage
to put plugs and wires in it when I went to
pick it up it was missing and he kept holding
it wide open when I looked under the hood
he had left the breather hose unhooked well
anyway now it is running hot and the air is
cold
