Question type: Car Customization

I want to switch out the old 1994 Pontiac Grand Am
radio with a new radio maybe a pioneer one. How do I
know what to buy? Is there specific sizing I have to
go by?

Yes you will need to get an adapter plate in the radio that you want is smaller, Or you can get a radio like this with all the bells and it will fit get and the price shouldn't be that bad..Make sure you have an Audio guy install it for you...

The best way to handle this is to go to a car audio store and talk to a specialist. They can tell you exactly what head unit options there are to fit your car. For a clean installation, you'll need a dash kit (to fill in the gaps caused by the new radio which will be a different size than the stock unit) as well as some new connectors. They will have all of that for you in one place and be able to provide a single price to do all of the work.
