Car having issues starting

Asked by Tasha Jun 18, 2017 at 04:41 PM about the 2002 Pontiac Grand Am

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car randomly will decide it doesn't want to start, the
engine itself is trying to turn over you can see it jumping
and all, it just doesn't turn completely over. Happens
randomly i can go days/weeks before it acts up again,
seems on very hot days is when it has the problem the
most...came home yesterday car wasn't started until I
tried today and it won't turn over...about 90 degrees here.
Start has been replaced in the last month

Sounds like a battery issue, have it checked out as well as your alternator. A defective cell in the battery would be a good cause.

Battery and altenator was tested I forgot to add that, they are both ok. And I'm not having issues with security thing cause my light is off for security.
