Car won't start.....

Asked by SpazMomGuru Oct 03, 2019 at 07:57 PM about the 2003 Pontiac Grand Am

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently picked up a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am.  Car died and couldn't start with a
jump, so I replaced the battery.  After a couple of times driving it, seemed like it
didn't want to start.  Turned the stock stereo off and had no problem with it
starting.  3 days later and went to store and would not start.  Got a jump and
got it home and now it won't start again.  Oh yeah, when it died with the old
battery and I tried to start it, there was a little smoke that came from the engine
compartment near the starter.  Trying to reset the computer right now what
would be my next step?  Where I am from, the people aren't that good at their
job and really need someone who knows what I am talking about.  Plz!
