Car won't start

My car cranks but will not turn over and my service
theft system light is on... Tried programming key
with no luck

Cranking and turning over are the same thing. I presume you mean it cranks but won't fire or start. It does sound like something has gone awry with your antitheft system if that is the light that is on. I believe scanning it for trouble codes will shed some light. I'd start there.
