Paint comes off of 2019 Subaru Crosstrek Cool Grey Khaki with a damp cloth?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Whenever I use a moist soft paper towel or cotton cloth on my Cool grey khaki
2019 Subaru Crosstrek, bright blue paint is removed and stays in the moist
cloth, This is alarming. What  step was left out of sealing my paint job by
Subaru, or what new sort of paint is this that is not stable? Are there any fixes
offered by Subaru?

I would check with advisor at your Subaru service department.

You can do that or contact Subaru of America directly. You could also get a written professional opinion from a paint shop as proof.

I now have an appt w the Subaru dealer service dept. They told me that they will take cell phone video and contact Subaru of America, as they have seen only problems with the Orange paint listed

It might help if Subaru stopped using water colors................................ ;)

hahahahaha Wish I had known about their paint jobs prior to purchasing! I wanted a Subaru Brat way way back when I visited Cloudcroft, NM where everyone seemed to be driving them. After decades, I finally purchased a 2019 Crosstrek in 2020. Had NO idea they use watercolor paints.
