Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have other owners had problems with their batteries? How long can you store in a garage without touching the battery . Any tips?
Thanks.

just disconnect the battery and put it inside your home and then hook up jumper cables to it for about 30 minutes to get everything charged up.

One month... probably not even a problem...Two months...? I left my car for almost 6 weeks once and had zero issues.... maybe you could arrange for a friend or neighbor to start the car once every two weeks while you're gone.

A fuel stabilizer is probably not essential but I would go ahead and use some in the gas anyway. Fill up the gas tank to prevent condensation and use a battery tender as the Outback has a reputation of draining batteries. Store the car inside a garage if possible.

BTW. Removing the battery is not a good idea as you will have programming issues when you reinstall the battery.
