Chevy c10

Installed a new intake and carburator on my 1971 Chevy
c10 it has the original 350 and after did not want to start
people say the timing chain jumped a Thoth  what may
have happened ?

It started then kept turning of I did not get a chance to drive it it wouldn't last long on I installed edelbrock carburator and intake

Try to start and leave distributor where you can adjust it.remember where you start. And turn less than a quarter turn one way. Try it. Then go back to where you started And go the other way. But if it starts now but Donnt run Do not move it much. I don't think that's your problem. Make sure you are getting fuel. It's hard to say for sure with out at least hearing it.
