AWD light on

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hi there! I have my AWD light on since yesterday on a RAV 4 2016 with less than 100000 km. My problem is that I am in France and the Toyota engineers are dumb (I had a small issue with the radio and they wanted to replace the whole thing for 700 euros... the radio re-started in 7 days by itself ... bad connection). So I am afraid they will tell me to do some major repairs for strictly nothing. Any idea how should I make sure (or attempt to) there is no other (cheaper way) to deal with the thing?
Thanks a million!

Actually yesterday the light went off. So I don't have anything to show..:) I bought a product to clean the injection. Thanks for answering!
Check gas cap. I just paid $140 for diagnostic and gas cap. Grrrr!!!
If the gas cap is not on properly the Engine Light and AWD warning will come on. After the gas cap is put-on properly both indicators will go off; however, you have to drive the car for several days (don't know exactly how many miles} before it goes off.

The same exact thing just happened to me. I had gone to a full service station 3 days earlier when this happened, so the delay between what happened and the lights coming on was several days. I got lucky and found this forum, checked my gas cap...it wasn’t clicked. I fixed that, the light stayed on for 14 more hours, then just went off. Thanks everyone for the excellent advice!

I have 3 indicator lights solid on for a few days - check engine, AWD, slippery indicator. Took my Toyota Venza to dealer diagnostic costs $162, and said need to replace AF + O2 sensor which will cost $1200. Does this seem right or am I getting slaughtered?
