Lost all power, like someone yanked the battery out

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What would make me lose total power to the
electrical system in my car? It's like someone
turned off a light switch. Even the gas gauge froze
in place.

Did you ever find out how to fix this? It just happened to me and even my mechanic is having trouble finding the issue.
