My 1989 gmc 1500 pickup had a meltdown at igmiton switch.i need to hotwire it to get it home...i need quickest and shortest way to do this..cant let it sit on freeway

Watch this video. If you can get to the starter, all you need is a screw driver of a piece of wire to jump the starter motor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gz_88VvQVGU Not a 100% sure if that will make the truck run or not. I think it should.
