Can the antenna on a 2014 be easily removed to place a long kayak on a roof carrier

I have a 16 foot kayak that I would like to  carry on a rack but it appears the antenna will be a problem in the back. Can it be easily removed?

or these....and my information does not cover the 2014...but the older masts will unscrew from the base......try it with some pliers with a rag on the mast also with the kayak bottom up wouldn't it fit over?
