2012 chevy Tahoe z71 4 by 4 with lights on top connnected to battery

Asked by HeatherB87 May 28, 2017 at 10:12 AM about the 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe

Question type: General

I have power to the Tahoe however I had a Machine at
napa and Audo zone check the battery, starter, and
alternater and all passed. I had to jump off my truck to get
it to auto zone. It is making a clicking noise when I try to
turn the Tahoe over and it won't turn over. I had it jumped
off twice and it turned over and started. This morning I
tried to do the same thing however it wouldn't turnover at
all this morning. Just made a clicking sound. Was told it
could be the cilanoid that is not working bc when I tried to
crank it by a jump it made a clicking noise and wouldn't
start over just the clicking sound . However the Tahoe has
power to the Tahoe just won't turn over and made the
clicking noise when I tried to turn it over! I really hope I
can get an answer from someone on here to see if it is just
the cilanoied ?

Also they said the alternator had 14 volts as well when they ran the check on the Tahoe yesterday. Also said the starter , and battery was good and passed along with the alternator as well! It has power it just won't turn over and when I'm trying to turn it over it's making a clicking sound so I'm not sure what that is ? I don't know anything about cars at all so anything anyone may know would be great and I defiantly do appreciate it ! Thanks in advance for anything anyone may know! Just need to get this fixed asap and hope it's nothing major !

How old is battery? Average battery life is three to five years. Sometimes longer but that is rare.
