I have a 2010 gmc sierra, I get that service traction control, stabilitrak, engine power reduced. I changed the throttle body but no change? (Engine light is always on)

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I lose power and can't go pass 40 mph.  I have to pull over and turn the truck off and wait
a few minutes, until I can drive again.  Truck goes loud, and sort of rattles.  Mileage is
140 500 estimate.  Throttle body was changed but there is no change.  Is there anything
else I can check? Sometimes, the dash monitors (speedometer go up and down as well)

Take your car to auto zone to get the engine light code read for free, or buy a service manual and do it yourself. Many possible issues may exist, but start there.

The traction control sending unit is clogged with brake dust. That is what that code is from. It could also be causing the loss of power due to the fact of traction problems. You need to blow out the line with an air hose. It could even be clogged with water if you had taken it through a automatic wash before this arose.
