Can I drive my car or should it be towed

My car engine light is flashing and the
car shakes a lot when idling and can
smell a lot of gas. What is wrong with
it

A flashing check engine light is warning you that the engine is misfiring and damaging the catalytic converter! Have it towed. You don't want to ruin the catalytic converter, they're not cheap!! Most likely you just need a tune up. But the shop will be able to properly diagnose it for you. Hope that helps! Jim
