98 Accord with spongy brakes

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 98 Accord brakes are spongy when the engine is running. When the car is not running the brakes firm up after stepping on the brake pedal once. When the engine is started the spongyness returns. Is this due to air in the lines? Thanks
