how to get sound from the radio/dvd

2009 GMC acadia the only thing wrong is no sound.. radio/dvd plays but i cant hear the
sounds nor the blinking lights.. any suggestions?

This happened to my '07 Acadia. The sound of the signal is wired in with the sound for the radio. I had to get a new Amp.
