Mazda CX-7 2009 Engine

Asked by ION_7891232 Feb 26, 2017 at 01:21 PM about the 2009 Mazda CX-7

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a CX-7 2009 and got the extended warranty which has worked out in my favor. They replaced the turbo, timing chain and just recently the engine froze up. The oil pump went out so everything is cover to replace the new engine. My question is, can you replace the CX-7 engine with a CX-5 engine? It seems that the CX-5 gets better gas mileage and has less issues.
