Why could be going on? I put a new engine in my

truck before i took out the old engine once i got my
motor all together i took the converter out to move
my truck and so it could make ny tranny less of
weight so it wouldnt drag on the ground put the
new engine in had some guy put the converter. In

I do believe the torque converter is not installed correctly. You need to spin them and push back on them to get seated all the way back into the trany. You shouldn't be able to get you fingers in behind the converter when in place. Another thing is if the trany is full of fluid. When filling you need to be shifting threw all the gears to circulate the trany fluid, until full. Have your foot on the break when you do this.
