Fuel pump
I turn my truck off and the fuel pump stays on
I haven't looked at your wiring yet? If there is an oil pressure switch in that circuit, it could cause a problem, other wise, I'd have to check fuel pump relay and circuits.

Oily, you mind is working...I keep writing 1986 on things, still have my manual drafting tools set, and the Machinery's Handbook 22nd edition, Iso 9000 manual and are practiced at Ansi-Y-14.5...if you understand any of that, am looking for a few minds to think over my exercise powered recapturing exercise vehicle that I've designed about 90 percent~ as I write 1986 is the Last time that I had a call for my expertise~ Evinrude, Briggs and Stratton, SMI automation (zippo lighter machinery), cooling loops and cryogenics...later here in California....then wobbly wobbly time to go thru the MRI to find extensive Multiple Sclerosis~ but still have this buggy to finish in 3D and am committed to make 1000 paintings...this is what keeps me of dying of loneliness out here in the cheapest place in California 95424~
are you sure that it is the FUEL pump? the radiator fan is supposed to stay on until the temp has cooled back down from operating temperature~ this reduces thermal stress on the critical cooling components...this is normal~ so may in fact NOT be the problem you're thinking of...NOT the fuel pump...but the cooling fan? follow me?~
the pump is inside the tank, and unless you've a stethascope on the fuel tank to hear the whirring of the pump...is a closed system and.....you could press a pen into the shroeder valve to see if it's spraying~ sadly gasoline will go everywhere, so use a mechanic's towel to catch the gas~ but honestly do not believe that it's the fuel pump running...does it run in the ACC position too...or only when the motor is HOT...I do believe this does not happen when the motor is cold~
You know how it is, every once in a while you bump into somebody that is trying to mark their territory. I usually just ignore those people. It' s about 6 of one and half dozen of another. Doesn't really matter. Have a good day.
perhaps Tony dropped the question on us, realized that is was NOT the fuel pump, but the cooling fan...and left town~...has not responded to any of our efforts?~
