Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The truck will not drive forward only in reverse. My grandpa thinks it's the transmission. Is there any other possibilities?? How hard is it to rebuild the transmission or how much would it cost to get it rebuilt??

FORGET THE REBUILD that's for experienced mechanics,if you got reverse then its pumping fluid and no doubt you lost the forward clutches, the easiest and least costly repair for this is a used unit , fresh filter while you inspect the innards for no fuz and metal chips before you proceed, though a minute amount is expected
