Anyone ever have the front hood latch cable break inside the engine well . No Way to open .. any fixes ?!?!?

Hood latch cable tore inside engine well . seems impossible to open the hood without
severe,damage to the vehicle .. any fixes .. many a body shop would appreciate knowing .

You may have to remove the grill or try to grab the cable through the grill. Good luck

Thanx , I service body shop accts all day every day , they all say fubar (( .. it appears inaccessible , Suzuki dealership also no clear answer (( ... not even able to give estimates ..

I have alway had them brake at the hood latch inside the vehicles where you could still get a set of pliers on them, thats a first for me inside the engine well. I would have to agree with Michael and say going through your grill would be the best bet since its inaccessible any were else. Keep in mind you might be able to notch your grill to gain access..

what if you raised it on a lift, removed the front tire and inner wheel house on the side the cable goes to. Then, if you can access the cable sheath there, judge by the length of cable that came out when it broke, where to cut the sheath. The cable would hang out after your next cut perhaps, twist it around a dowel.... bob's your uncle. Relocate it till you can buy one. Have it accessible from the front. Nobody wants to steal anything anyways, it's a suzuku, i, or sudoku, or whatever.
