Will a 1999 Ford Explorer transmission fit in a 2004
mercury mountaineer?

To add...the transmission in the mercury lost reverse. Drive works fine. Dropped the pan off the tranny and the band doesn’t look broken. Also took the servo out and cleaned it up and put it back.
