My builds up water pressure

Asked by Wildthain49 Aug 17, 2017 at 06:55 AM about the 2002 Mercury Cougar V6 Hatchback FWD

Question type: General

Water blows back out when you crank it and
runs out the tailpipe and when drive a little
bit it start to run hot then when dies you
have to let it set a few hours before it will
crank i dont have water in my oil so what do
you think is causeing all of that are where do
i need to start looking

Head gasket or cracked cylinder head. Coolant will NOT always be in the oil when a head gasket fails.
