Hyundai accent IV 2012

Asked by Tsebo May 03, 2024 at 06:45 AM about the 2012 Hyundai Accent GLS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Hyundai accent starts misfiring when the
engine is at optimum running temperature.
My other issue is that once the engine is
warm and I try to start the car it has a long
crank at times the rev counter doesn't move
yet the car is running

Possibly a bad temp. sensor , To be honest after 10 + years you should get something else ( honda , toyota ) before more expensive things go wrong

This is actually a throwaway vehicle, I’m surprised it has lasted this long without something major happening. Have the live data checked, fix what come up then start looking for something better, like what was suggested above. Stay away from KIA, Mitsubishi, Hyundai. Best to check the do not buy list for the makes to stay away from.

Toyota and Honda are very expensive. It’s recommended to stay away from Toyota Honda and the entire VW group due to theft Hyundai is the only option I had and also I take very good care of the car.
