If you're climbing a steep grade in 4WD, traction control will cause the engine to lose power. You can push & hold the traction control button and stabilitrack will be off. That's except when your in HI. To turn stabilitrack off forever, with the traction control off, open the hood and find the 25 amp fuse in the upper right of the fuse box. Pull it and that will permanently disable the stabilitrack. Of course, a bunch of dash lights will illuminate because you've also disabled them. After you can return to stabilitrack, just plug the fuse back in. I guess Chevy engineers weren't experienced enough on grade climbing to have thought this out..... Someone might have another workaround, but that's the only one I now.
