2008 Lincoln MKZ Sunroof closes but goes off the tracks to much to where it re-opens

Asked by Peter May 21, 2018 at 12:28 PM about the 2008 Lincoln MKX FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My sunroof opens properly but when it closes it goes a bit too far and leaves an
opening. When it rains water gets in and gets the top of the interior a bit damp.
It also makes a sound driving down the road as wind is going through the top.
Does anyone know what i can do to fix this?

I have the same issue...Mine popped and now won't close. Insurance won't fix it, and the track costs 9000.00 to replace. No one wants to touch it. (mine is a 2013...) This is BS! Never again.
