Car alarm going off after heavy rain...

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It rained really heavy for the past two days, and now my car alarm keeps
going off on it own. Also, last night the "door ajar" light kept coming on...that
seems to have stopped today. Could it just have gotten wet?

The inside didn't really get wet, it's just from getting in and out of the car that water got on the handle where the buttons/switches are. Yes, I'm hoping they will be fine when dried out. The driver's side lock already was not working except with the key fob. But, then the alarm kept going off last night and today. I kept the doors open or while in the sun today. The "door ajar" light is no longer coming on. But I used the passenger's side button to just lock the car for now. I'll try with the fob in the morning to see if it goes off again.

Believe me in this heat where I live I don't need to leave anything open for it to dry out...and I don't have an carport or garage, so yeah....thanks though.
