My NYC fix was to remove the positive battery cable;wait 5 min and replace it. Will probably come back after a few days.So fix the problem.Luis.

If the problem is fixed, it will turn off the CEL on it's own. 3 consecutive non-fail scans will turn off the light. OBD scanner can do it but safest way is to let it shut itself off after fixed.

Kazam obd stands for on board diagnosis it’s a hand held device that usually connects to a port underneath the dashboard located by the foot pedals. This device is pretty expensive in the $100’s f not a couple grand. Go to auto zone n have them chk ur needs or buy a n inexpensive $200-300 obd at harbor freight mind you it may not even work on ur car so do the footwork n school urself n look online what works best for you, this obd works n many many cars but has to be kept updated. Hope this helps
