i have a 2002 mercury cougar the belt keeps slipping off and the other day i
was at walmarts and it made a weird noise and started smoking well i
thought the belt had just came off again.......we were puttin the belt back on
and noticed it had gotten so hot it put a crack in the radiator so im now in
need of a radiator im curious what other make and models of cars will
interchange with my mercury cougar?

On the belt issue, You need to check all the pulleys that they spin freely and spin true, you could have a bad AC compressor bearing, belt tensioner, idler pulleys. If your going to go with a used radiator, just call a junkyard, but new radiators are really not that expensive.https://www.carid.com/spectra-premium/radiator-mpn-cu1719.html?singleid=78057692&url=1264404

The harmonic balancer (crankshaft pulley) could also be bad causing it to wobble and toss the belt. If the crack in the plastic radiator is small and easy to get to it might be repairable with some JB Weld or similar epoxy. Otherwise get a new radiator. If you keep getting the engine hot you may damage the head gaskets.
