What is causing my 2007 dodge nitro to leak antifreeze. The heat isn't coming on and you can smell antifreeze inside the car.

It may be your heater core or the heater hose connections to it. The heater core sits inside the AC plenum box under your dash. It has two hoses running to it from the engine that pipe engine coolant/radiator fluid to it. It may have developed a restriction to the coolant flow resulting in a leak and loss of heat to the passenger compartment. With the engine running, find the two heater hoses and feel them, feel if they have pressure and if they are hot/warm to the touch (just be careful as they can be very hot). If the hoses appear to be okay, you may need to try a heater core flush. This will let you know if the core itself is bad. In that case, the only way to repair it is to replace it.
