4 WHEEL DRIVE NOT WORKING

transfer case is shifting into 4wd front drive line turning, 4wd light is not lighting up and front axles not engaging why does it not work

have a 1995 k3500 4x4 duallie,have no problems shifting 4 hi or 4 lo.now rear will not engage.cobbish44@yahoo.com.or ken at 989-560-1906 thanks.
