RED ❗️Warning Light came on?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving 500 Mike’s on a 600 mile trip, REDwarning light comes on and display
reads, MAINT REQ’D. I still had 1200 miles before I need oil change. Usually at 4900
mi. I get a temporary yellow warning saying MAINT REQ’D SOON  Then at  5000 mi.
the yellow stays lit and the SOON goes off.
I’ve never seen a RED warning before So, I don’t think this is an oil change issue.
I took it to a Mieneke place cause I know the guy, and he pulled these codes: C142D,
C0110, P0130. He couldn’t find much on them except an O2 error on the P0130. When
I google the first one, nothing comes up. Second one is an ABS error.
Can anyone shed some knowledge on this?
Thanks so much!

You can turn the Maintenance Required reminder off by following a few simple steps. You can find the procedure in your owners manual or online. Then see how it runs. Is the Check engine light also on? The C codes are related to the ABS system. C142D, isn't a code, it should be all numbers. But it might be a simple Wheel speed sensor or tone ring that is cracked and or rusted. P0130 is an O2 code, but could be caused by the way the car is running vs the sensor itself. If you are concerned about the codes and the car is running poorly, have a decent garage look it over for you to offer a solution.

Thank you so much for your response! There was no Check Engine warning light at all. Just the red warning. Maybe the code was C1420? The guy wrote it down for me. That comes back to an acceleration sensor error but apparently that would cause a CEL, not a Maint req’d. New info... Googling red warning on Camry Hybrid, I found quite a few folks that said Maint Req’d notification and warnings are always oil related. Checked dipstick. Not a bit of oil on dipstick. Added 2 qts 5w-20. I checked driveway where I always park. Not a drop of oil. I’m almost thinking that the oil change folks shorted me a couple qts of oil I’m kinda snowbound on the east coast right now but once I can get back on the road, I’ll monitor the oil very closely. Thank you again for your response and I appreciate any more insight!
