The 2020 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid takes the luxury of the gas-only RLX and combines it with performance and efficiency. It’s been around since 2014, and it received a heavy refresh a few years ago. It carries over for 2020.
The RLX Sport Hybrid pairs a 3.5-liter V6 with three electric motors and a battery for a combined output of 377 horsepower and 341 pound-feet of torque. Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) come standard. Fuel-economy ratings are estimated at 28 mpg city, 29 highway, and 28 combined.
Acura offers the RLX Sport Hybrid in a single, well-equipped trim. Standard features include 19-inch wheels, LED exterior lights, 3-zone climate control, 12-way power seats, heated and ventilated front seats, GPS-linked climate control, ambient cabin lighting, navigation, a 14-speaker premium Krell audio system, keyless access and start, LED fog lights, a windshield de-icer, and heated rear seats.
In the way of safety, the RLX Sport Hybrid comes standard with a multi-view reversing camera, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, road-departure mitigation, lane-keeping assist, a head-up display (HUD), and reversing sensors. The RLX earned a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
