After some noteworthy changes in 2006, Infiniti decided to add a seatbelt reminder and an optional iPod connection to the FX35 crossover SUV for 2007. Otherwise, Infiniti stuck to the tried-and-true formula of slipping an SUV body on a sporty sedan. The FX35 has 4 doors, seats 5, and comes in two trims: AWD and RWD.
If you take a look under the hood, you'll find a powerful 3.5 L, 275 hp V6 engine with 5 speed automatic transmission. The interior has a sloping roof and has a sportier (though less luxurious) feel than competitors such as the Cadillac SRX. Expect fuel consumption to run from 16 mpg in the city to 21 on the highway. Cargo space comes out to 65 cubic feet.
Most drivers would agree that the 2007 Infiniti FX35 performs well for its class and packs plenty of power. However, many would like to see a little more interior and cargo room. Others would like the FX35 to get a 3rd row and a more luxurious interior while losing the blind spots that make driving an interesting enterprise at times. Despite the qualms, most owners like their car and hope that it finds its own distinctive identity in the near future.

I really liked this car for the 5 years i've owned it. It is sporty, capable, has good AWD, can tow and carry cargo on the roof, has a purrr for an exhaust note, and its looks are shark-esque in a sea of fishes.Apr 01, 2015

handlig and acceleration is fine also the appearance(interior is very simple and old) is awsome however the cost is really economically, but because of the engine and heavy body, usage of petrol is very high!!!

Performance of this crossover SUV is good, considering it is a V-6 at 270 HP. It makes a lot of good noise when you accelerate hard, but runs high RPMs at high speeds even with the 5 speed auto. Braking is very good, almost sports car-like. It also handles similar to a softly-sprung sports car, but you pay for it on bumpy roads. The 20" rims also like to follow tracks in the pavement, and a firm hand must be on the wheel at all times. Those 20" rims also make for some expensive run-flat replacement tires - buyer beware. Build quality is great, with absolutely no problems. The exterior caught my eye many years ago in LA when I saw a prototype on the streets and wondered what the heck that thing was! It still looks really good 6 years later and seems to be better than the 2009 restyle. Gas mileage is typically 19-22 MPG, but it is probably on the better side of crossover SUVs. It is fun to drive overall, but can get bumpy off-roading. Jan 08, 2009

The car is nice. Not too bad on gas. Fairly fast pick up. It handles really well and looks great.But have some problems. Steering wheel is very hard to turn,car need big space for U-turn,climate control sucks,put it on 61 degrees it's too cold turn it up to 62 it's too hot,went to dealer was told that's the way it has to be. noisi Oct 10, 2008

I thoroughly enjoy driving this vehicle. Its built on the same platform as their G35 sedan, so it drives and handles very much like a car; nimble. You feel the road when you are driving which I like. Engine is peppy, sometimes you really need to ride it hard with the manual shifting to get out of it what you are looking for. Any ideas what would cause a 07 FX 35 to intermittently be completely dead?
I replaced my battery 2 months ago because the battery was exhausted. Well in the past few weeks sometimes I go to start it and it's completely dead. Originally I thought I left something on, until it happened again a couple of days later. What's happening is the truck goes from starting and running fine to absolutely dead as soon as its turned off. The seat doesn't go to the exit position and the steering wheel doesn't move and if you go to try and start it, there is absolutely no sign of life. No lights, no noises, nothing. I tested the battery with a meter and it read 11.9 volts. A few odd things to note- if I put jumper cables on the battery and touch the opposite ends very quickly, this corrects the issue and the car starts right up with no issues whatsoever. Another time I was sitting in the car to try to start it and it was completely dead so I popped the hood and bam, as soon as I released the latch the lights came on, I had full power and it started right up.
