I've owned two pathfinders. I was recently in Chile, and there are many around there. They are mostly powered by diesel engines and look just like new or better, with all the aftermarket accessories.
In Kamloops here there are lot of Pathfinders too, but a few are rusty. They don't use much salt on the roads, so many of the Pathfinders here are in good shape.

I have had this car for almost eight years now. It gave me a good run for my money given its age. I would definitely pick another one (with lower mileage of course) and would recommend it to anyone who's on a budget and looking for a decent SUV.Dec 07, 2014

awsome car as long as you don't have to work on it your self. very fun to take out 4x4ing. Blind spot in passenger rear view mirror. No tow hitch on Xe model. Not the best MPG bet not the worse for a v6. Great looking. Jul 01, 2011

Pretty good car, fun offroad ability. I never got stuck and I used to live on a farm so that says a lot. Mine got pretty back gas mileage but I don't know why. It's a Nissan, common. I had great fun in this vehicle, the 4-wheel drive is amazing. With proper care it will last you a long time, I had over 220,000 miles on it when I sold it. Great CarNov 30, 2009

Amazing car, it takes care of me real good, great ride quality, great power for what it is, and nice amount of tq. the space inside is amazing, cargo and other riders, the 4x4 is also very capable of more or less anything you can throw at it... Sep 23, 2009

It was great little SUV. Not real roomy, but comfortable. I could pull my boat as long as there weren't a lot of hills. It was very sporty and real fun to drive. I never had a problem with it.Jun 29, 2009

i loved this car, it had about 200,000 miles on and still ran great. it was a fast car and didnt really need to change anything about it is a fun car to take off-roading even though its 2wd but still greatApr 28, 2009

Reliable and unkillible under normal on and off road driving, and can still hit above 100. Only real problem is the gas mileage is around 14 tops, which isn't the worst for its age and weight. It can handle great on and off road, even able to take turns at speeds that would cause any other suv to flip. May 07, 2008

1993 Pathfinder starter clicks but does not start
I have a 1993 Pathfinder 4x4 manual transmission and just about every time I leave from work, I turn the key and all I'll hear is one click. It hasn't ever done it on a cold start. It will eventually start if I turn the key enough but over time it takes more turns. I've replaced the starter and it worked for a bit then the same thing. I've also replaced the starter relay and no results. I've noticed if I push the car a bit with my foot a bit then put in gear then try and start it it usually works.

my 1993 Nissan Pathfinder runs, new alternator and battery runs fine at first then after sometime it doesn't accelerate at all, I think it might be the fuel filter or injectors but I'm not sure, solutions
